I have no idea how the hell restarting fixed this issue. Every single time this has happened in the past, I needed to break out the soldering iron and crack open the player to solder the audio jack back onto the mainboard.

Please tell me you haven’t caved and bought a Zune. Or tell me that you found some way to overclock it and amp it’s storage capacity.
